MVA Events aims to connect all members of the Macdonald Valley who wish to participate in community activities, whether you are a Member of the Association or not.

The MVA is a unifying and active organisation that does many things consistent with its’ Mission Statement of ‘Protect, Enhance and Promote the Natural and Human Environment of the Macdonald Valley’.

One of these is to organise occasional community events, whilst meeting our broad goals of;

·       Promote Community Participation and Wellbeing
·       Create Opportunities for Local Business Involvement
·       Promote the Local Arts Community
·       Each Event to be Financially Self Sufficient

Music at St Albans – Women Composers

24 February @ 16:00 - 18:00

This is the final event in the fantastic Mozart & More programme of 8 classical music events kindly funded by Wentworth Healthcare.

Celebrating women composers from the 12th century to the present day with songs and compositions featuring three very talented women.

Robyn Brookfield, will open the concert with a haunting song by Hildegard of Bingen accompanied by Dorothy Sercombe on the organ.

Kaela Phillips returns to St Albans to play the concert harp in ensemble with Dorothy on piano, Robyn on viola and Justin White on violin.

Please join the performers for nibbles and drinks after the concert in the nearby Church Hall, courtesy of The Settlers Arms Inn and Wentworth Healthcare.
